Contrato Mayweather McGregor contract

Conor McGregor talked exclusively to his website TheMacLife.com after Dana White revealed the Irish champion had signed his part of the contract to fight Floyd Mayweather.

Conor came to an understanding with the UFC and him signing the contract represents the biggest step in the negotations so far. In an official statement, McGregor confirmed the information.

“It is an honour to sign this record breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management. The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”

Speculation regarding the fight has been ongoing for more than a year now. But it was until last November when things started to move faster. After McGregor became the first UFC fighter to hold belts in two different divisions at the same time, his status as the biggest MMA star was undeniable. Ever since UFC 205, McGregor has focused all his energy in getting the fight against Mayweather, and Floyd himself started to show genuine interest in making it happen.

Conor’s signature on the contract could mean that the deal is as good as done. In March of this year, while in London, Floyd Mayweather told reporters that all McGregor needed to do if he really wanted to fight him was sign the contract. Once that is taken care of, all the attention centers now in Mayweather and The Money Team.

The numbers for PPV buys and live gate at the venue could be the biggest in the history of combat sports. Although the fight doesn’t seem to make any sense for either of the sports, it looks like it’s just a matter of time for the official announcement to be made.
